The philosophy of fashiondesigner Rianne de Witte is “to create beauty within a spirit of protection. Her designs are inspired by the elegance of nature, traditional skills and a conscious way of living. She works with high standard, sustainable fabrics which are respecting the environment and the clothes are fairtrade produced.” Rianne de Witte was nominated for the Dutch Design Award 2006.
In Strawberries Fabrics she finds a constructive partner in finding the fabrics which reflect her philosophy. The small scale producers are sufficiently flexible and skilled to produce fabrics according to het own specific designs and wishes and this results in the creation of unique fabrics and patterns. The fabrics are generally dyed with natural colours and have been woven or embroidered by hand.
