Bogolan dessin dogonfini
Enchant your home with the Dogon vibes !
This bogolan fabric is 100% natural and produced by artisanal bogolan producers in the Dogon area of Mali.
It is made from rainfed and handpicked cotton, which is locally spun and locally woven into small strips. The strips are still recognisable in the fabric. The black colour of the fabric is coloured with mud- hence the name mud-cloth. The brown colours are made from natural dyes such as treepods and bark.
This pattern shows the typical Dogon sign and is drawn by the master bogolanier himself.
This versatile piece is large enough to be used as a bedcover, throw or even as table cloth- for a truly sunny ambiance at your table.
It has already been washed once. The colours will gradually fade with more frequent washing. You won’t mind this though, as the fabric becomes even softer.
